Ines Arvola

I grew up on Askøy, a short ferry ride from Bergen, and learned to print in my uncle’s bathroom with the window taped over. I still print the same way, with better tape.

These days I split my time between portraits in a small studio above a bakery, architecture for a handful of practices, and long, slow landscape projects on the coast. Most of it is shot on medium format film, and all of it is edited by hand.
